About

I am a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst and Registered Mental Health Counselling Intern with over 10 years of clinical experience in the mental health industry. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD by combining the modalities of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I also work with individuals who are suffering from Depression, Anxiety, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Relationship Issues, Family Conflict, Grief and Loss, Burnout, and general Life Stressors.

Compassion and empathy are key tenets in my clinical approach. I truly enjoy watching my clients blossom as they overcome personal challenges and obstacles. I believe that everyone’s life experiences are valid, as those experiences shaped them into the person they are today. I believe in taking a collaborative approach with clients to help them achieve their goals by providing them with a safe and healing space to exist in without judgment. We all have the capacity to grow and heal when equipped with the right tools and techniques. Life often throws things at us when we least expect it, and my goal is to help my clients navigate these challenges with compassion and grace.

I have had to overcome several personal challenges throughout all stages of life, which allows me to empathize with the human experience. I am a champion for Culturally Sensitive and Responsive Treatment, and I truly believe that our cultural values and beliefs affect how we perceive mental health issues, how we approach treatment, and how it can also be a barrier for multicultural individuals. I was born and raised on the beautiful island of Jamaica; therefore, I also understand the immigrant experience and the challenges of adjusting and assimilating to a new country and way of life. Please remember that this is your healing journey, and I would be more than happy to work with you to live your most authentic and fulfilling life.
